 Greg Spencer retired from the FBI in October of 2017 after 28 years of conducting criminal investigations in the Peoria, IL area, as well as in the Milwaukee FBI Division. During his tenure in central Illinois, Mr. Spencer  conducted a variety of criminal investigations involving bank robberies, kidnappings, financial fraud, money laundering, public corruption, computer crimes involving child pornography, crimes committed in the Pekin, IL federal prison, and drug cases. Mr. Spencer was also the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) Coordinator of Operation Crackshot. The task force was responsible for investigating and convicting over 150 gang members from Peoria and Chicago. While assigned to Milwaukee, WI, Mr. Spencer was the drug task force coordinator and became an FBI Certified Polygraph Examiner. 

 After retiring from the FBI, Mr. Spencer accepted a Security Investigator postition with Caterpillar, Inc. in Peoria. Mr. Spencer was responsible for investigating coporate cases involving fraud, human resources/employee wrong-doing, policy violations, enterprise procedure violations, and export control violations. 

 During his employments with the FBI and Caterpillar Inc., Mr. Spencer acquired numerous investigative skills, including becoming an expert interviewer and interrogator, conducting physical and electronic surveillance, such as Title III wire taps, and directing undercover drug buys using informants, recording devices, and GPS. Mr. Spencer also has skills in analyzing financial bank records and transactions, analyzing telephone records, using computer analysis tools such as FTK, examining electronic discovery, and conducting federal employment background investigations. Besides his investigative experience, Mr. Spencer has extensive trial preparation and in-trial experience, including being a case agent on a dozen federal trials involving testimony experience at trial and in the federal Grand Jury. In September 2020, Mr. Spencer decided to apply his vast investigative experience as an FBI Agent and a Corporate Security Investigator and founded Spencer Investigations PLLC. Mr. Spencer holds degrees from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse and the University of Minnesota. Mr. Spencer is also a member of the Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI.
